Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a **Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic 3** to join our diverse team of professionals located out of **Edwards, CA.** **Responsibilities:** + Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include in-depth repair as required on powered and non-powered ground support equipment. + Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on special purpose vehicles, GEM carts, and forklifts. + Review maintenance records of periodic maintenance to ensure equipment is fully operational in support of daily equipment requirements. + Use an assortment of basic hand tools in addition to precision measuring devices for troubleshooting and repairs. + Work from complex written instructions such as formal test specifications, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals. + May instruct lower level mechanics in technical aspects of Ground Support equipment work. + Exercise appropriate safety measures. **Basic Qualifications:** + Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of related military / professional experience. + Must have previous GSE Mechanic Experience. + Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces. + Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements. + Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. + Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport. + Must be able to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements. + Must meet medical requirements to include applicable vaccinations for worldwide travel. + Must have the ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret clearance prior to the commencement of employment. + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with aerospace industry. + Active DoD Secret clearance Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
