We are seeking a motivated Model Integration Trainee to support system integration, data workflows, and application deployment initiatives for federal program management offices. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in system engineering, application integration, cybersecurity practices, and enterprise-level program support. You will work under senior systems engineers to learn how complex systems communicate, how data flows across networks and applications, and how integration challenges are addressed in real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities Integration & System SupportAssist in implementing technologies, processes, and practices designed to integrate applications, networks, devices, services, and data.
Support the creation, testing, and execution of integration, regression, and performance test plans.
Troubleshoot integration issues across application, network, and infrastructure layers under guidance.
Help manage configuration, version control, and maintain environments across dev/test/stage/prod.
Assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for integrated systems.
Document integration designs, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), runbooks, and deployment procedures.
Support the preparation and review of program-level documentation, including requirements specifications, system architecture, and test plans.
Participate in root-cause analysis and assist in developing mitigation plans for system or process issues.
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn systems engineering and integration best practices.
Gain exposure to program lifecycle management, decision papers, trade studies, and CONOPS documents.
Learn cybersecurity practices such as patch management, vulnerability assessment, and risk mitigation.
Support tasks to enhance situational awareness and contribute to operational readiness.
Interest in systems integration, enterprise applications, and workflow automation.
Basic understanding of IT networks, databases, or application systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to learn from senior engineers.
Willingness to travel occasionally for project support.
Familiarity with enterprise software, cloud platforms, or API integration.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts or risk mitigation practices.
Exposure to systems engineering lifecycle concepts (academic or internship experience).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
